“People coming together for one night and one cause… to serve fatherless children and single moms in poverty”
What is the need?
In Northeast Denver, there are 9000 single mothers with children who live in poverty. Encompass is a faith-based non-profit in downtown Denver whose mission is to uplift fatherless kids and single moms physically, spiritually, relationally, emotionally, vocationally, and educationally by encompassing them with care (www.encompassdenver.org).
Our goals
Who can participate?
Anyone over the age of 4. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Sleepers
Sleepers are individuals who choose to raise funds by gathering pledges from friends and family to support a single mother and Encompass.
Sleeper Teams
Sleeper Teams are groups that band together to raise funds together. We encourage people to recruit others to form a team and do this event as a group.
Adopt a Single Mom or Fatherless Child
We encourage every Sleeper and/or Sleeper Team to adopt a single mom or fatherless child in poverty from Encompass or the community. 20% of all funds raised will be given to the person you adopt and 80% will go to Encompass. If you do not know someone to adopt, contact Encompass for suggestions.
